Faircity spreads the word via a PocketMedia® Flipper

FaircityFaircity Hotels and Apartments, an innovative and vibrant hotel group specialising in co- developing and managing hotel operations in Southern Africa, selected a PocketMedia® Solutions’ Flipper to generate awareness at Indaba, one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African calendar.

The Flipper – an all-in-one brochure, like a book, with a pull tag that makes the pages of the card turn over to reveal key information about the group – was selected as opposed to the group’s original DL back-to-back brochure that it had for each property.

“We found that the public was aware of the individual properties by name, but not of the group name Faircity. We wanted to make our group name more popular and promote all the properties within our portfolio,” says Lukas van der Westhuizen, Managing Director.

“We also wanted to change the look and feel of our brochures at Indaba to something new and unusual. Something people wouldn’t expect from every other hotel. Everyone loved the Flipper. They are funky and modern and everyone loved it and said what an unusual idea it is. It was a job well done,” he adds.

Faircity Hotels and Apartments’ initial focus was predominantly the management of furnished apartments. It subsequently positioned itself as a fully-fledged hotel management company that manages and develops hotels geared towards modern-day business and leisure.

Themed hotels, conference hotels and serviced apartments form Faircity Hotels’ primary service offering. It’s made up of a diverse range of properties, whether in the Johannesburg inner city or Sandton, Hatfield or Pretoria. Its portfolio includes everything from funky hotels and accommodation to weekend getaway-styled stays.
